A Vet Is Always With Your Pet

We always have a licensed vet watching over your pets when they board with us so that we can handle any situation with expertise and efficiency. Having a vet always with your boarded pet means that you don’t have to worry about anything in case of an emergency. It also allows us to handle situations that other boarding systems can’t.

Our boarding is perfect for:

  • Older animals
  • Animals that require medication
  • Animals with any health concerns

Safety Is Our Priority

As a loving pet owner, considering daycare or boarding services for your pet means ensuring they will be safe. Your animal will always be a few feet away from a trained medical professional able to handle any situation. Beyond a daycare and boarding facility, we pride ourselves on supporting your pet’s health and wellness, and that starts with making sure they feel safe and looked after while they are with us.

At Dr. Philips Animal Hospital, all animals in daycare or being boarded have been vaccinated, dewormed, recently tick/flea treatment, and are screened to ensure they are safe around other dogs. We have a 1 to 8 ratio of staff to animals and provide a number of safe activities such as temperature controlled runs, daily walks, and extra play time. We are also one of the few daycare or boarding facilities you can find that will have a veterinarian staff on hand at all times.

Grooming packages available to bathe, blowdry, brush-out, nail trim, ear cleaning before you pick up your pet.

Our Services & Commitment

Pets are family. Put your trust in someone who knows your pet and cares about their health and safety as much as you do. Contact us today for any questions and to learn more about our daycare and boarding services.

What is Animal Daycare and Boarding?

Animal daycare is childcare for your pets. Also called ‘doggy day-care’ for dogs, animal care is a facility with trained professionals looking after your dog instead of leaving them home alone.

Boarding is an extended stay, looking after your pets when you are away for longer periods of time (days, weeks, or months). Boarding is also used in situations when someone is in-between houses and unable to find someone to watch their pet during the transition period.

Why to Board or Daycare Your Pet

Research has shown animals left alone too long experience separation anxiety, loneliness, depression, health risks, and start developing bad behavior. Animals are social creatures that require care and attention just like us. Taking advantage of our daycare and boarding services provides an opportunity for your pet to socialize with other animals, people, and get the care and attention they need while you’re at work or traveling.

Why would my pet not be allowed at daycare?

Where some facilities turn away certain dog breeds such as bull or terrier mix, we welcome all breeds. We closely monitor all pets and staff are trained to identify immediately if they are displaying aggressive or dominating qualities toward others.

At Dr. Phillips Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on ensuring the safety of all animals under our care without turning away any that may just need extra love, help, or training. If your dog is safe around other dogs, neutered, not pregnant, not in estrus or (in heat), and over 4-months old we will take them.

How to Get Started

The approval process is simple and fast once your pet meets our requirements. When considering daycare or boarding for your pet at our animal hospital, our staff are more than happy to take you through the process in-person or over the phone today. If boarding your pet, we recommend dropping them off early in the day to allow them time to play and get acquainted before bedtime.

How much does it cost?

Pricing for daycare or boarding can depend on a number of factors such as the type of your pet, availability, and the length or frequency of their stay. Contact us today to speak to one of our staff to get a price and check availability.

When to Board or Daycare Your Pet

Consider using daycare services if you are leaving your dog alone for more than 4 hours or they require special care and attention your schedule is not allowing. If you are away for an extended period of time (holiday or work trip), boarding is a great option over leaving them at home with someone staying at and looking after them as they will be in easy access to professional help and constantly be monitored for their safety.
